Go Down Please! (Don’t Forget to Drink!)

 ‘Go Down Please!’ is a submission for the 2023 Global Game Jam centered around the theme of ‘Roots’. In this game, you’re an ambitious little sapling with the aspirations to dig your roots as deep as you possibly can! This vertically endless 2D runner was my first game jam AND my first team lead role with a group of folks I hadn’t known prior. The game was built in roughly three days.

  • Learned more about 2D tilemaps and complex layering

  • Managed communication/goals across everyone on the team

  • Played a role in nearly all the fields: design, coding, managing, & art
